In December 2005 the International Faith and Order Commission published The Nature and Mission of the Church which seeks "to express common convictions about the church, its nature and mission, and to identify the ecclesiological issues which continue to divide the churches today."
This document is now in the hands of churches for discussion and response.
Churches Together in Britain and Ireland, in partnership with the Theology and Unity Group of Churches Together in England, is convening an ecumenical consultation for its member churches and the National Ecumenical Instruments in June 2008.
The consultation is to be moderated by Mrs Elizabeth Templeton.
Further details will be made available soon and, following the Consultation, a report will be placed on these pages together with any papers presented.
