faith, radicalisation and conflict
Language: faith and conflict
The language we use not only expresses our thoughts, it also shapes them. Transforming our language can help to re-shape our understanding of issues which are hard to talk about.
Understanding faith as a source of conflict
Except to identify religion of any kind as the problem, many analysts and commentators on international relations find it difficult to make sense of the part religion plays in the conflicts of our day - war, identity politics, radicalisation, terrorism, human security and so on. With these same issues, Church people also struggle with the task of theological reflection on God at work in history.
CTBI International Affairs is working to resource the churches, and those with whom they engage in this area, so that they can participate in genuine dialogue.
