  More Than Gold

More Than Gold is an initiative to enable the UK churches to engage with the 2012 Olympic Games. It aims to help thousands of churches to taste the excitement of reaching their community in fresh and ongoing ways in Jesus' name by:

• Helping people catch the vision for the impact that can be made and the role they can play
• Making connections between the many agencies and thousands of churches that can make it happen
• Coordinating the production of the resources and action needed

With six months to the start of the Olympic games, the Presidents of Churches Together in England issue a joint message reaffirming their commitment to Christian unity and looking forward to Christian communities coming together for the Olympics.

Get Set Training Days 2012

Attend a practical workshop being held across the UK, to get new ideas, strategies, skills and resources that will help well beyond 2012.

Workshops are being held at 17 venues between 4 February and 28 April 2012.

You are encouraged to attend in groups with members joining different workshops so that the whole group can return with a full picture. Both formal Churches Together groups and informal Churches Together networks are encouraged to send groups, even if they are conduits of information and advocates rather than the people who will actually do the work.
